Raham

Ingredients

1 pt ground white rice
2 tbsp margarine
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp aniseed essence or oil
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp grated orange rind
2 tins condensed milk

Instructions

Heat margarine and parch rice (do not allow to become colored) When cold, add black pepper, aniseed essence, sugar, orange rind and 1½ tins condensed milk. Pull up with the palm or hand; if mixture doesn't hold, add the remaining milk. Pull up and shape. Serve at weddings and Quran sharrifs. Serves 8 Note Raisins and cherries may be added.
